Terms of Use
These Terms apply when you access sojourner.world or use services provided by Sojourner Technology Inc.
Effective September 4, 2026
1. Agreement and eligibility
By using the services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the services for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
You must be able to enter into a binding agreement under applicable law. The public website and beta are not directed to children under 13.
2. The services
Sojourner provides software and related services that may process information, use connected tools, and perform actions you request or authorize. Features may change as the services develop.
Some services are offered as a beta or preview. Beta services may be incomplete, unavailable, or changed without notice.
3. Accounts, instructions, and connected services
You are responsible for information you provide, protecting your account credentials, and ensuring that you have authority to use connected accounts and content.
When you connect a third-party service, you authorize Sojourner to access and process information within the permissions you grant. You may disconnect supported services, but disconnection may not reverse actions already completed.
4. Content and ownership
You may provide information or other content to the services (“Input”) and receive content generated by the services (“Output”). You retain your ownership rights in Input. As between you and Sojourner, and to the extent permitted by law, Sojourner assigns to you any rights it may have in your Output.
You grant Sojourner the rights needed to process Input and Output to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the services as configured for you. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed for Input.
Output may not be unique, and other users may receive similar output. Rights in third-party content remain subject to the applicable third-party terms.
5. Shared community knowledge
Private content is not added to community knowledge unless you choose to contribute it. If you contribute content, you confirm that you have the right to do so and grant Sojourner and the identified community permission to process it for the stated community purpose.
Removing a contribution may stop future direct use where technically and legally possible, but it may not reverse earlier use or remove copies retained by others.
6. Acceptable use and the Beloved Community License
You may not use the services for unlawful, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or unauthorized activity, or to interfere with the services or another person’s rights.
Material identified as BCL Material is governed by the applicable version of the Beloved Community License. You may not use the services, an agent, an API, or another intermediary to evade restrictions that apply under the BCL.
We may investigate suspected violations and restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, third parties, or the services.
7. Accuracy
Output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your circumstances. You should review Output before relying on it, particularly for consequential decisions.
The services are not a substitute for qualified medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
8. Third-party services
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Sojourner does not control those services and is not responsible for their availability, content, or practices.
You are responsible for third-party charges and for complying with the terms that apply to accounts you connect.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the services at any time. You may request deletion of personal information by contacting info@sojourner.world, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, to protect the services or third parties, or if providing the services is no longer commercially practical. Where appropriate, we will provide notice.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, Sojourner Technology Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or opportunities. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
12. General terms
These Terms are governed by Delaware law, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Before beginning formal proceedings, contact info@sojourner.world and allow 30 days to attempt to resolve the dispute.
Except for user content, third-party content, and material offered under the BCL or another license, Sojourner Technology Inc. retains its rights in the services, website, designs, names, and marks.
If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them in connection with a financing, reorganization, acquisition, or sale.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required.
