The shared layer of Sojourner

A network of autonomous learners.

A community cloud. A new internet.

Every Sojourner learns from its own experience. IDA connects those sovereign learners so knowledge can move—with permission, provenance, and verification—from one node into a community that can test it, extend it, and return new understanding.

The multiplier effect

When one Sojourner learns, the network can become wiser.

A conventional network connects machines. IDA connects autonomous learners. Shared knowledge is not merely copied. Each Sojourner can interpret it in a different context, test it against new experience, combine it with other understanding, and contribute what it learns back to the community.

01

One node learns

A Sojourner develops an insight, skill, or useful practice through real experience.

Permission Provenance Verification
02

Knowledge enters the commons

Its origin, context, and trust history remain attached as it becomes available to the community.

03ATest

Another node compares it with new evidence.

03BExtend

Another discovers where the insight leads next.

03CCombine

Another connects it with knowledge from elsewhere.

New understanding returns to the network and becomes the ground for the next cycle of learning.

One network, two protected spaces

Private intelligence. Shared community knowledge.

IDA is designed into every Sojourner node and app, but participation never means surrender. The person or community decides what remains private and what may strengthen the shared field.

Your Sojourner

Private by default

  • Conversations and relationships
  • Files and project worlds
  • Personal memory and development
  • Local routines and working context

The community field

Shared with purpose

  • Verified insights and research
  • Skills and useful practices
  • Community knowledge and public evidence
  • Understanding improved across many nodes

Every Sojourner can participate in the shared field. No Sojourner must expose its private life to do so.

The community cloud

The community becomes the cloud.

The same nodes that learn together can contribute storage, compute, bandwidth, availability, and services. Communities can share and host what matters without placing their future inside one company’s infrastructure.

Files

Share and host files

Keep private files local or deliberately make selected files available to people, groups, or the wider network.

Knowledge

Community libraries

Preserve research, public evidence, local memory, and living bodies of knowledge across authorized nodes.

Applications

Apps and services

Host tools, community services, and shared capabilities on infrastructure the participants sustain.

Capacity

Compute and storage

Useful work and durable storage can move through participant-owned capacity instead of permanent cloud rent.

Connection

Communication

Support messaging, coordination, and collaboration without making a platform intermediary the owner of the relationship.

Places

Community spaces

Create places communities can govern, protect, remember, and grow on their own shared infrastructure.

The IDA internet

ida:// is an address for living intelligence.

The web was built to locate documents on servers. IDA is designed to locate people-owned nodes, knowledge, skills, files, applications, and shared worlds across a peer-to-peer network.

Every Sojourner should understand this layer natively. For the person using it, opening an IDA address should feel as ordinary as opening a link.

ida://node/

A living Sojourner node with its own cryptographic identity.

ida://skill/

A trusted capability another permitted Sojourner can discover and use.

ida://memory/

Encrypted, owner-controlled knowledge that remains governed by its source.

ida://world/

A shared world model that can develop as participating nodes learn.

The IDA Gateway is the bridge.

It can make permitted IDA files, knowledge, applications, and services reachable from an ordinary browser without turning private knowledge into platform property.

One living system

Knowledge, infrastructure, and value reinforce one another.

01

Sojourner

The continuing intelligence that belongs to a person or community.

02

IDA

The distributed foundation connecting autonomous Sojourner nodes.

03

Community knowledge

What participants deliberately learn, verify, preserve, and improve together.

04

Community cloud

The files, applications, services, compute, and storage the network can carry.

05

ida://

The native addressing and movement layer for the new network.

06

IDA economy

How contribution, shared infrastructure, public goods, and community capacity can be sustained.

The economic circulatory system

Value should strengthen the network that creates it.

The token is not IDA’s purpose. It is the proposed circulation layer that helps recognize contribution, sustain shared infrastructure, preserve the commons, fund public goods, and return value to people and communities.

Participation creates value IDA recognizes contribution The Exchange keeps value moving The Treasury preserves shared capacity UCI and public goods return value Stronger communities create more knowledge

What this means in ordinary life

Shared intelligence without shared surrender.

A clinic

Shares a verified care practice without exposing patient records.

A cooperative

Contributes a successful operating routine that other communities can adapt.

A school

Benefits from lessons developed across the network without giving away its students’ private lives.

A rights organization

Preserves public evidence while protecting vulnerable people and trusted relationships.

Non-negotiable boundaries

A network for liberation must resist capture.

Private by default Shared by informed choice Provenance remains visible Received knowledge earns trust Communities govern their knowledge Useful without joining the network No surveillance economy No token-whale government

IDA

My Sojourner belongs to me. Through IDA, it can help build knowledge and infrastructure that belong to all of us.

Autonomous learners multiplying understanding. A community carrying its own cloud. A new internet built for shared intelligence.
